Method

  • Digital briefs with suggested edits and comments via Microsoft Word, Google Docs, or OpenOffice

 

Writing styles

  • Formatting and citations: APA, Chicago (author-date or footnote), MLA, Harvard, otherwise requested

 

Cost

  • 75 NOK per 500 words [main text], with a 50 NOK surcharge per brief; 200 NOK per hour for reference list/bibliography (MVA 25% not included)

  • Option for expedition: 20% fee of total amount for shorter turnaround; (additional fee amount and return time are negotiable)

 

Turnaround

  • 2000 words per working day (Mon.-Sat.), beginning the next working day if brief is submitted after 14:00 CET

 

Additional support

  • Meeting in person or via phone/online is always an option if the client wishes to discuss the brief or its edits

  • A follow-up edit is available at no extra charge

 

Please provide the following information when sending the text for editing: 

  • Type of document (article, essay, book chapter, abstract, etc.)

  • Preferred focus (choose one or more from: grammar, syntax, formatting, citations, and spelling)

  • Reference/format style (APA, Chicago, Harvard, etc.)

  • Current word count, and, if applicable, the word count requirement (e.g. ‘maximum 6000’)

  • Type of English (British, American, etc.)

  • Preferred editing platform (Word, Google Docs, Powerpoint, etc.)

  • Any special requests or concerns

  • Request for expedited turnaround (exceeding 2000 words/day, Mon-Sat)

  • Date by which text must be returned

  • English text editor since 2004

  • Freelance writer for copywriting services, private company websites, and academic text services since 2009

  • Academic tutor and assistant lecturer at university level in 2007-08 and 2010 to present

  • Have completed: MPhil Sociology, MFA Art, and PhD Gender Studies
